The Sun Fire X2100 Server Maintenance and Troubleshooting course provides system support engineers (SSEs), customer care center (CCC) engineers, and Sun partners with the knowledge and skills to ensure proper implementation and support of the Sun Fire X2100 server. These skills include installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Prerequisites
To succeed fully in this course, students should be able to:
- Perform system administration on the Linux OE (Courses available: Red Hat Linux Essentials (RH-033) and Red Hat Linux System (RH-131))
OR
- Perform system administration on the Solaris OS (courses available: Solaris Operating System Essentials for System Maintainers (SM-101), Solaris System Administration (SM-239), and Introduction to the Solaris x86 Platform Specifics (WS-2400))
- Recognize components of PC hardware or similar systems (course available: Sun Fire V20z Server Maintenance and Software Installation and Configuration (WET-4682: Rev B) and Sun Fire V40z Server Maintenance and Troubleshooting (WET-4683: Rev B))
