Sun Tech Days – Early Bird Competition
Conditions of Entry
Entry into this competition (“Competition”) is open to persons aged 18 years of age, and older, who: (i) are Australian residents or New Zealand residents; (ii) are not employees or their immediate families of the Promoter, and its related companies; and (iii) are not precluded by their terms of employment from participating (each an "Eligible Entrant"). "Immediate family" means spouse, defacto spouse, parent, natural or adopted child, and sibling (whether natural, or adopted by a parent), whether or not they live in the same household as the employee.
Entry commences at 7:30am on 04/03/08 and closes at 8:00am on 04/03/08 (“Entry Period”).
The Promoter is holding an event titled “Tech Days 2008”, in Bayside Grand Hall of the Sydney Convention & Exhibtion Centre, Darling Drive, Darling Harbour Sydney NSW and Melbourne Olympic Park, Park Room. on 04/03/08 (the “Event”). Eligible Entrants who, during the Entry Period, register their Event attendance with the Event reception desk will each be allocated one entry into the competition.
The draws will take place following the Sun Keynote Presentation at 9.30am on Day 1 of the Event on 04/03/08 in Sydney and Melbourne
The Eligible Entrant whose valid entry is first drawn in each listed venue will, subject to meeting the requirements of condition, win the competition Prize. The Prize comprises a Sun Spot Java Development Kit valued at $635.00, one for each city – Sydney and Melbourne.
In order to win the prize, the drawn entrant must, when their name and contact entity has been called out as the drawn entrant, promptly make themselves known to the Promoter’s representative conducting the draw and provide reasonable personal identification. If the drawn entrant does not do so, the drawn entrant is not the prize winner. Further entries will be drawn until a drawn entrant satisfies this requirement and is declared the prize winner.
The Judges decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
The name of the winner will be published at http://au.sun.com/events/techdays on 14/03/08 for at least 7 days.

SUN Tech Days 2008 – Solaris Competition
Conditions of Entry
Entry into this competition (“Competition”) is open to any person aged 18 years of age or older, who: (i) is an Australian or New Zealand resident; (ii) has signed up for an OpenSolaris Account at www.opensolaris.org and been issued with an OpenSolaris.org ID; (iii) is not an employee of the Promoter or any of its related companies; (iv) is not a spouse, defacto spouse, parent, child or sibling (whether natural or by adoption) of such an employee; (v) is not precluded by his/her terms of employment from participating (each an "Eligible Entrant"); and (vi) is attending the Sydney event.
The Promoter is holding an event titled “Tech Days 2008” at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour NSW, on the 4th, 5th and 6th March 2008 (the “Event”). The Event includes various sessions, including Solaris Track on 4th and 5th March 2008, and an OpenSolaris Community Day on 6th March 2008.
There are 3 prize draws in the Competition (each a “Draw”), one for each day of the Event.
Entry for Draw 1 commences at 11am on 4/3/08 and closes at 6.15pm on 4/3/08 (“Draw 1 Entry Period”).
Entry for Draws 2 commences at 10.50am on 5/3/08 and closes at 6.10pm on 5/3/08 (“Draw 2 Entry Period”).
Entry for Draw 3 commences at 8:30am on 6/3/08 and closes at 3.30pm on 6/3/08 (“Draw 3 Entry Period”).
To enter a Draw, an Eligible Entrant must have registered on opensolaris.org and have an opensolaris.org ID, complete an official Competition entry form available at the Event and deposit the completed section of the entry form in an official entry box during the Entry Period for the Draw being entered. (Available to Sydney attendees only.)
Entry boxes for Draws 1 and 2 will be located in the room in which the Solaris Track session is being held on the day of the Draw and at the OpenSolaris Booth in the Event Pavillion. The Entry box for Draw 3 will be located in the room in which the OpenSolaris Community Day sessions are being held.
An Eligible Entrant may enter any, or all, of the three Draws, but may enter a Draw only once. Entries into one Draw will not be included in any other Draw.
The Draws will take place at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre. Draws 1 and 2 will take place in the room in which the Solaris Track session is being held on the day of the draw: Draw 1 at 6.30pm on 4/3/08 and Draw 2 at 6.20pm on 5/3/08. Draw 3 will take place at 3.50pm on 6/3/08 in the room in which the OpenSolaris Community Day sessions are being held.
In each Draw, the Eligible Entrant whose valid entry is first drawn will, subject to meeting the requirements of condition, win a SUN Ultra 20 large configuration computer system and a 20.1” flat screen LCD monitor, together valued at $2,767. The name and contact entity of the entrant who was awarded a drawn entry will be called out at the time the draw is conducted.
In order to win a prize, the entrant whose entry is drawn must, when their name has been called out, promptly and in person, make themselves known to the Promoter’s representative conducting the draw and provide reasonable personal identification. If the drawn entrant does not do so, the drawn entrant is not the prize winner. Further entries will be drawn until a drawn entrant satisfies this requirement and is declared the prize winner.
The Promoter's decisions (including without limitation decisions as to what amounts to sufficient promptness or reasonable personal identification) are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.

Entry is only valid if all details on the Entry Form are completed.
