How it Works

Becoming a Sun partner requires knowledge of the Sun Partner Advantage Program, knowledge of your company's business profile to complete an interest form, and engagement with one of Sun's Distributors.


1.  Understanding the Program
This program is for companies that have expertise in selling hardware and software products, as well as support and professional services to end user customers.


2.  Complete the Sun Authorized Reseller Interest Form
The form collects comprehensive information about your company's capabilities and how they will complement Sun's partner portfolio. Submission of this form informs Sun of your interest in the Sun Partner Advantage Program.


3.  Engage with a Sun Distributor
After submission of your Program Interest Form you will have access to a list of Sun's distributors, arranged by country. Select a distributor and use the contact information to begin your qualification and application process.


Do You Have What it Takes?

Value-added resellers in the Sun Partner Advantage Program invest their staff's expertise in Sun's products and technologies to deliver solutions to customers' complex business problems. Participating in the Sun Partner Advantage Program requires your company to:

  • Engage with a Sun distributor and sign a reseller agreement contract to purchase Sun products for resale.
  • Invest in the training of your sales and technical staff in Sun's products and technologies, and tracking their progess online.
  • Provide reporting information on sales productivity.
  • Collaborate with Sun sales teams to create and execute a business plan (NOTE: this requirement is dependent on your level within the Program).

Participation as a member of the Sun Partner Advantage Program means you'll have access to exclusive resources on the Sun Partner Portal, access to Sun's Independent Software Vendors to develop high value business relationships, and receive both sales and technical training to deliver solutions to complex business problems.
